On November 10, in the 110 kV smart substation in Jinhua, Zhejiang, smart robots began their daily inspections in front of rows of switch cabinets with electronic eyes. The 110 kV smart substation is the first fully indoor smart substation in China and was officially put into operation on the same day.
At the beginning of this year, State Grid Corporation of China proposed the strategic goal of "three types and two networks, world-class" and carried out the pilot construction of the first batch of 7 smart substations. As the only pilot in Zhejiang Power Grid, Jinhua Power Supply Company scientifically coordinated and completed the construction and commissioning of the 110 kV station-front substation in more than two months.
As a "smart substation", the substation in front of the station realizes "one-button control" of switching operations at all voltage levels, "machine replacement" of all inspections, "intelligent management and control" of personnel behavior, "comprehensive perception" of equipment status, "intelligent linkage" of abnormal status, and "assisted decision-making" of operation and inspection strategies.
Machines replace manual labor, improving both operation and inspection efficiency and benefits
The 110 kV station-front substation is located in the center of Jinhua City, covering an area of more than 2,700 square meters. It is an indoor gas-insulated fully enclosed switchgear (GIS) smart substation. Through optimized space configuration, the usable area is more than 4,000 square meters. Compared with the surrounding bustling residential and commercial areas, the substation is empty, with only the slight hum of the running machines.
The substation in front of the station is unmanned, and robots, high-definition video and infrared cameras are deployed in the equipment area. The system automatically completes the inspection of the equipment location, temperature, appearance and surrounding environment, and uses image recognition algorithms to intelligently identify and remotely transmit meter readings, achieving 100% free copying of meters. "In the future, it will be enough for us to arrange a verification inspection every six months, and there is no need to arrange personnel at other times." Yu Mingzhi, an on-site staff member of the substation in front of the station, said that after the machine was replaced, the workload of manual inspections has dropped by more than 90%.
In addition to reducing manual inspections, the substation in front of the station has realized "one-button control" of switching operations at all voltage levels. Compared with conventional operations, manual operation items have been reduced by more than 85%, the overall operation time has been reduced by 70%, and the operational safety has been further improved.
One-step consultation and prescription, upgraded safety control
For a long time, the difficulties in substation operation and maintenance have been low efficiency of manual inspection, untimely response to equipment working conditions, and difficulty in controlling personnel behavior. The pre-station substation breaks the routine and applies a number of artificial intelligence technologies to improve the efficiency and level of operation and maintenance.
When the staff enters the gate of the substation in front of the station, the "black technology" in the station has already started to operate in full effect. The "smart eye" is turned on, and the face recognition system and the intelligent vehicle gate system automatically confirm the personnel information, link the access control and work ticket, extract the vehicle information, working hours, working scope, etc., and strictly control the safety of the site.
Traditional substation inspections require manual inspections and live inspections by operators, and power outage tests by maintenance personnel. During the equipment manufacturing stage, more than 600 sensor components were installed in the pre-station substation to achieve "real-time physical examinations" of equipment and "foresee" health conditions, reducing maintenance frequency and costs.
"The substation in front of the station is very smart. It can diagnose and prescribe." Zhao Shousheng, the on-site person in charge of the substation in front of the station, said that through the preset early warning model, the system can analyze the operation of the equipment in real time, make intelligent diagnosis, and actively warn, and push early warning processing and active defense strategies. When the equipment fails or abnormal information occurs, the system automatically determines and generates auxiliary processing strategies.
The substation in front of the station also realizes the sharing of system data such as intelligent inspection robots, high-definition video, main equipment monitoring system, auxiliary equipment monitoring system, etc. When abnormal environment is detected, the system links air conditioners, cabinet heaters, etc. to adjust environmental parameters in time, improve the efficiency of handling equipment failures and abnormalities, and realize self-healing of the operating environment.
Deepen integration and innovation, and explore the construction of ubiquitous power Internet of Things
On September 1, the construction of the 110 kV substation in front of the station officially started. As the first batch of pilot projects, there is no precedent for the construction of smart substations. What to build? How to build it?
Under the deployment of State Grid Corporation of China and State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Co., Ltd., Jinhua Power Supply Company has focused on deepening integrated innovation, with the goal of "safety, reliability, practicality and efficiency", actively exploring replicable and popularizable typical models, and building a smart substation with "inherent safety, green and environmental protection", "efficiency improvement, machine replacement", "state perception, integrated interconnection" based on the concept of ubiquitous power Internet of Things construction.
Jinhua Power Supply Company gathered ideas from all quarters to complete the concept of smart substation, the formulation of technical standards, and the determination of design plans; established a special organization with the person in charge as the team leader, formed seven working groups for coordination, design, primary, secondary, auxiliary control, civil engineering, and publicity, and refined work plans and personnel arrangements; adopted on-site weekly meetings and daily report systems to strengthen project quality and progress control and ensure the orderly implementation of project plans.
On November 10, after 71 days of hard work, the 110 kV station-front substation was successfully put into operation. The station innovatively adopted the anti-open circuit technology to achieve zero-second switching of hot standby batteries; applied the switch mechanism secondary component integration technology to reduce the amount of on-site installation and commissioning and improve operation and maintenance efficiency; adopted 5.8G wireless technology to achieve full coverage of wireless signals in the station to meet data transmission needs, and also accumulated experience in the construction of ubiquitous power Internet of Things.
