Solar cell manufacturer Taiji opened its new factory in Kunshan today. Taiji's Kunshan factory covers an area of about 40,000 square meters and can be used as a 1GW solar cell production base. The construction of the Kunshan plant has just been completed. The initial production scale is 60MW for solar cell and module production lines. It has successfully developed and mass-produced 17% high-efficiency cells.

Taiji was established in 2007 as a spin-off from Guangyun (6125). It mainly produces 6-inch high-efficiency multicrystalline solar cells and solar modules. Its production bases include the No. 1 and No. 2 plants in Zhongli, Taiwan, and the Kunshan plant in China. Due to the slowdown in global market demand, this year's production capacity planning has been revised from the original 700MW to 560MW, including 300MW in Taiwan No. 1 plant, 200MW in Taiwan No. 2 plant in trial operation, and 60MW in Kunshan No. 1 plant in China that has just been completed.

In terms of technology layout, Taiji is currently working with its second plant in Taiwan as a production base dedicated to the research and development of high-efficiency batteries, carrying out "metal through-back electrode solar cells", "paste formula adjustment", "double printing technology", etc.

Taiji's current share capital is 1.34 billion yuan, and it is expected that the share capital after the fourth quarter profit will be 1.46 billion yuan. The major shareholder Guangyun holds 49.97% of the shares. Taiji's third-quarter revenue was 1.087 billion yuan, a quarterly growth of 36.5%. Analysts estimate that due to the continued decline in solar cell prices in the third quarter and the weakening demand since August, Taiji may still suffer a loss in the quarter.
