The MAX3541 converts PAL or DVB-C signals in the 47MHz to 68MHz, 174MHz to 230MHz, and 470MHz to 862MHz frequency bands to a 36MHz intermediate frequency (IF).
The MAX3541 includes a variable-gain low-noise amplifier (LNA), a multiband tracking filter, a harmonic rejection mixer, a low-noise IF amplifier, an IF power detector, and a variable-gain IF amplifier. The MAX3541 also integrates a monolithic VCO, a resonant circuit, and a complete frequency synthesizer. This highly integrated device enables a board-level, low-power tuner without the cost and power issues of a double-conversion tuner solution.
The MAX3541 operates over the -40°C to +85°C temperature range and is available in a 48-pin, leadless flip-chip (fcLGA) package.
