The FX0442 and FX0443 fuse holders are capable of accommodating fuses measuring 5x20mm and are rated for 10A, 250V ac, with a maximum power dissipation of 2.5W. They are designed and manufactured for a variety of volume applications where PCB mounting provides a quick and economical way to integrate fuse units into a circuit.
Both the FX0442 and FX0443 have a straight protective cap (PC) that can be removed manually or with a screwdriver/tool. These protective caps are bayonet-style assemblies for quick and reliable insertion and removal of fuses. Both fuse holders have a contact resistance of less than 10mΩ and an insulation resistance of greater than 10MΩ at 500Vdc.
Both fuse holders are proven to be shock proof as per PC2, meaning that live parts do not contact a standard test finger as per IEC60529. Using nylon and polyester flame retardant materials rated at 85°C with UL94V-0, they have passed the glow wire flame retardancy test as per EN60695-2-12. Both fuse holders are also internationally certified by VDE and UL covering the US and Canada respectively.
"Elektron Technology is proud to introduce high-quality products such as the FX0442 and FX0443 that provide engineers with real benefits through practically simple design upgrades," said Owen Kivlin, Technical Director at Elektron Technology. "The FX0442 and FX0443 give designers greater flexibility in printed circuit board layout thanks to a reliable and durable wire-free assembly; this PCB mounting method simplifies the installation process while improving the inherent quality of the end product."
