This article introduces the THS7364 functional block diagram, various application circuit diagrams, and the main features, circuit diagram, bill of materials and PCB layout of the THS7364EVM evaluation board.

THS7364 is a six-channel low-power HD (SD) video buffer using SiGe BiCom3X technology from TI. It integrates three SDTV filters (9.5-MHz) and three full HDTV filters (72-MHz). All filters have bypassable 6th-order Butterworth characteristics, built-in gain 6-dB (2 V/V), single power supply +2.7V to +5V operation, mainly used in STB, PVR/DVDR and BluRay output video buffers.

Evaluation BoardThe

THS7364EVM is an evaluation module for the THS7364 in the PW (20-lead TSSOP) package. The THS7364EVM is designed to quickly and easily demonstrate the functionality and versatility of the device. The EVM is ready for power, signal source, and test instruments. The EVM is configured with a 75 ohm input and output termination. The THS7364 evaluation module (EVM) User's Guide is included within the Product Datasheet.

THS7364EVM evaluation board key features:

Configured with 75 ohms input/output impedance

Single Supply: 2.7V to 5V Decoupling capacitors

Connectors: Vs+, GND, INPUT, OUTPUT and test points

Input and output connectors support both BNC and RCA/S-video connections

Four Jumpers allow device configuration for SD-disable, FHD-Disable, SD-bypass, FHD-bypass
