Shanghai time, June 2022: imc Test & Measurement is launching its new version imc WAVE 2022 for users around the world - a powerful acoustics and vibration software that combines with the high-performance imc data acquisition systems for standard-compliant noise and vibration analysis. imc WAVE 2022 consists of four combinable analyzers and provides comprehensive analysis functions such as sound power evaluation, structural analysis, vibration and rotating machinery according to standards. The easy-to-use software guides users from configuration, calibration, measurement to professional reporting in just a few steps, shortening setup times and providing reliable measurement results quickly and safely for users with little experience in the field of NVH. Typical application scenarios include on-board or fixed device testing, such as: prototype testing, equipment monitoring, development benches or production line end-of-line testing.
The sound pressure and sound power signals are calculated in real time according to the relevant standards. The sound level needs to be determined and the microphone signal is processed synchronously. imc WAVE noise analyzer For this purpose, a complete set of analyses is available, such as real-time FFT analysis, octave or 1/3 octave spectrum display of the sound signal, e.g. 2D or 3D diagram (waterfall diagram). In addition, the noise analyzer supports microphone calibration and is easy to operate.
The imc WAVE vibration analyzer can be used for equipment vibration detection or fault diagnosis. It provides advanced evaluation tools for characteristic parameters according to established standards, including FFT functions, envelope analysis, 1/3 octave and octave spectrum, as well as complex level and frequency analysis functions.
For real-time measurement and analysis of rotating machinery during operation, the imc WAVE rotation analyzer combines pulse velocity calculation with resampling of the rotation angle data to display the vibration process as an order spectrum for advanced analysis.
The imc WAVE structure analyzer supports the determination of structural dynamic characteristics in components. The analyzer can be used to determine transfer functions and resonance frequencies in order to analyze vibration behavior, bending and torsional stiffness.
All imc WAVE 2022 analyzers support a holistic analysis of the causes, propagation paths and effects of noise or vibration. In addition to sound and vibration signals, processing functions for other physical parameters such as speed, force, pressure, temperature, as well as digital fieldbus data are also included. imc WAVE 2022 software can be seamlessly integrated with any imc measurement data acquisition system. The four analyzers can also be directly integrated into the imc STUDIO measurement control management software platform to equip automatic test benches with NVH functions. At the same time, in conjunction with microphones or hemispherical arrays from GRAS Sound & Vibration, a measurement brand under Axiometrix Solutions, we can provide complete sound pressure and sound power measurement solutions to customers around the world.
