Alpine's MRD-M500 and MRD-M300 are two V12 AccuClass-DTM digital power amplifiers. How to make these two power amplifiers play their maximum performance? Please follow the steps below to adjust them step by step.

Step 1: Make sure the speaker impedance is correct.

Note: The design load of V12 AccuClass-DTM digital power amplifier is 2 ohms! (The design load impedance of MRV series amplifier is 4 ohms) Connect the double coils of SWR-1041D or SWS-1041D subwoofer in parallel (4 ohms and 4 ohms = 2 ohms), and connect one subwoofer to each amplifier. This can ensure the most reasonable power output!

Step 2: Preliminary adjustment of the power amplifier.

Note: Since the factory preset values of power amplifiers such as M500 and M300 are for equipment protection, bass will not be output without adjustment! Some dealers can't wait to hear the effect after installing M500 and M300. This excitement is understandable, but they often forget to adjust some parameters, resulting in almost no output of the power amplifier.

Parameters that need to be adjusted: Subsonic filter function (turn on and set the frequency to 25Hz), Low Pass function (turn on, initially set the frequency to 80Hz), and Safe Mode protection (turn off).

Step 3: Adjust the host volume output.

Since the V12 AccuClass-DTM digital power amplifier will only be in working condition if the input signal voltage is strong enough, please play a piece of music with bass signal without connecting the speaker, and gradually increase the volume of the host until the M500 or M300 amplifier shows that it is overloaded (a small red dot will appear in the lower right corner of the display area). Then turn down the volume of the host a little, remember the volume value at this time, and pay attention to the volume of the host as much as possible in the future, but do not exceed this value.

Step 4: Adjust the input level of the power amplifier

Connect the speaker, adjust the "Input Level" to a relatively low position (such as -4dB, or even lower), and continue to play the music in step 3. Set the volume of the host to the maximum non-overload position just determined. Then adjust the "Input Level" of the V12 AccuClass-DTM digital power amplifier to make the volume output by the subwoofer loud enough but not distorted. In this way, when listening normally, the volume of the host is in a relatively high output state, the amplifier can work normally without overloading, and the volume output by the speaker is also relatively appropriate without distortion.

Step 5: Fine-tune other parameters of the amplifier

After ensuring that the amplifier is in the correct working state, you can carefully adjust the various parameters according to the car's audio system: "Low Pass Filter", "Time Correct", "Parametric EQ", etc.
