Using megohmmeter and multimeter to judge the circuit diagram of axial pressure tube
Both semiconductor Zener diodes and ordinary diodes have the property of unidirectional conduction, and their volt-ampere characteristics are also similar. It is sometimes difficult to distinguish them just by appearance inspection.
However, there are also important differences between Zener diodes and ordinary diodes. First, diodes work under forward voltage, while Zener diodes must work under reverse breakdown state. Second, the reverse breakdown voltage of ordinary diodes is generally high, above 40V, and some even reach thousands of volts.
