ADC and touch screen interface

The S3C2440A has a built-in 10-bit recycling type CMOS analog-to-digital converter with 8 analog input channels. At a 2.5MHz analog-to-digital conversion clock frequency, the conversion rate can reach 500KSPS (Samples Per Second), and supports on-chip sample-and-hold function and power-saving mode. The S3C2440A also has a touch screen interface that can control/select the XP, XM, YP, and YM inputs of the touch screen for X, Y position conversion.

AD conversion frequency = GCLK / (p + 1)

AD conversion time = 1 / (AD conversion frequency / 5) = 5 * (p + 1) / GCLK

Among them, GCLK is the system main clock frequency, which is generally equal to 50MHz; p is the pre-division value, which is between 0 and 255; divided by 5 means that each conversion requires 5 clock cycles. The maximum clock frequency of the AD converter is 2.5MHz, so the maximum p is 19; the maximum conversion frequency is 0.5MHz, so the maximum conversion rate is 0.5M samples per second, that is, 500KSPS.
