Among them, exports were 9.95 trillion yuan, an increase of 6.1%; imports were 7.55 trillion yuan, an increase of 6.4%; and the trade surplus was 2.4 trillion yuan, an increase of 5.2%. In terms of US dollars, in the first five months, my country's total import and export value was 2.46 trillion US dollars, an increase of 2.8%. Among them, exports were 1.4 trillion US dollars, an increase of 2.7%; imports were 1.06 trillion US dollars, an increase of 2.9%; and the trade surplus was 337.2 billion US dollars, an increase of 1.8%. Export data
In the first five months of 2024, my country exported 5.87 trillion yuan of mechanical and electrical products, up 7.9%, accounting for 59% of the total export value. Among them, automatic data processing equipment and its parts were 554.46 billion yuan, up 9.9%; integrated circuits were 444.73 billion yuan, up 25.5%; automobiles were 329.7 billion yuan, up 23.8%; mobile phones were 329.68 billion yuan, down 2.8%.
During the same period, exports of labor-intensive products amounted to 1.69 trillion yuan, up 7.1%, accounting for 17%. Among them, clothing and clothing accessories amounted to 417.09 billion yuan, up 3.5%; textiles amounted to 405.82 billion yuan, up 6.1%; plastic products amounted to 311.67 billion yuan, up 12.1%. Exports of agricultural products amounted to 283.11 billion yuan, up 3.9%.
In addition, 44.655 million tons of steel were exported, an increase of 24.7%; 24.724 million tons of refined oil were exported, a decrease of 7.7%; and 9.648 million tons of fertilizers were exported, a decrease of 2.3%.
Import data
In the first five months, my country imported 514 million tons of iron ore, up 7%, with an average import price of 860.7 yuan per ton (the same below), up 8.1%; 229 million tons of crude oil, down 0.4%, at 4,310.9 yuan per ton, up 6.8%; 205 million tons of coal, up 12.6%, at 721.9 yuan per ton, down 18.1%; 54.276 million tons of natural gas, up 17.4%, at 3,504.6 yuan per ton, down 12.6%; 37.369 million tons of soybeans, down 5.4%, at 3,759.7 yuan per ton, down 15.5%; and 22.107 million tons of refined oil, up 20.1%, at 4,265.9 yuan per ton, up 5.2%.
In addition, 11.976 million tons of primary-shaped plastics were imported, up 1.3%, at 10,700 yuan per ton, down 1.3%; 2.327 million tons of unwrought copper and copper products were imported, up 8.8%, at 64,400 yuan per ton, up 5.9%.
During the same period, imports of electromechanical products amounted to 2.68 trillion yuan, up 11.9%. Among them, integrated circuits amounted to 213.65 billion, up 14.9%, with a value of 1.05 trillion yuan, up 17.1%; automobiles amounted to 271,000, down 4.5%, with a value of 107.24 billion yuan, down 13.4%.
