IQE Announces Multi-Year Strategic Supply Agreement with Macronix Technology Co., Ltd.

IQE plc (IQE or the Group), a leading global supplier of compound semiconductor wafer products and advanced materials solutions , has announced the signing of a multi-year agreement with Macronix Technology Co., Ltd. (MNC) to supply epitaxial wafers for wireless applications.

Macronix is ​​a leader in compound semiconductor wafer fabrication and has been working with IQE for more than 20 years. The three-year supply agreement covers epiwafers for a range of Macronix wireless products, including those supporting 4G and 5G mobile handsets and WiFi products.

The agreement provides IQE with numerous opportunities to enter the mass market for power amplifier products. IQE and Macronix will also collaborate in the design and development of solutions for next generation wireless applications.
