Third , for the industrial edge market, NXP and its predecessor Philips Semiconductors have 40 years of factory service experience, covering automated manufacturing, logistics, operation and maintenance, management and other aspects. Currently, NXP has launched a solution with integrated TSN functions to simplify the system design of smart factories. Kuang Liangchuan, director of servo product development at Inovance Technology, said that Inovance Technology has cooperated with NXP in servo drives and PLCs for many years and highly recognized the high performance and high reliability of NXP processors and interface products. He also said that the two sides will continue to strengthen cooperation in the fields of machine learning vision, edge computing, and secure interconnection in the future.

Fourth , for the IoT edge market, NXP cooperated with Cainiao Logistics to promote changes in the retail industry. The two parties jointly created RFID smart retail solutions two years ago. Yan Li, head of Cainiao Network RFID Laboratory, said that the two parties are working together to promote the introduction of a new generation of low-cost and high-performance RFID technology into logistics and digital supply chain management systems.

As one of the largest and most complex devices for edge intelligence, automobiles are also the edge market that NXP values most.

Li Tingwei said that in order to comply with the requirements of the new cooperation model and respond to the new trend of software-defined cars, NXP is actively changing its cooperation model. Recently, NXP has successively announced a series of strategic cooperation with SAIC Zero-beam Software Center, GAC Research Institute, Horizon Robotics and Continental Group, opening up the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain.

Liu Fang also said that as more new players enter the automotive industry, NXP's cooperation mode for the automotive market has also changed from traditional linear to networked. It not only serves car manufacturers, but also cooperates extensively with Tier 1, software and service providers.

Liang Weiqiang, deputy director of the Intelligent Connected Vehicle Center of GAC Research Institute, introduced the current cooperation on the S32G product line. GAC and NXP have been working closely on the TBOX product since 2013. With the development of automobile technology, the two parties immediately carried out in-depth cooperation in the three major areas of connected vehicles, car body, and intelligent driving. This in-depth cooperation has also brought great benefits to GAC Research Institute. In the past three years, the shipment volume of self-developed controllers has reached 3 million.

In the radar market, NXP provides a variety of support from corner radar to 4D imaging, 360-degree surround, and target recognition and classification. It is the first to apply 77GHz technology to automobiles, and cooperates with many domestic radar and component manufacturers including ZongMu Technology, Falcon Eye Technology and Huayu Automotive to provide a new generation of millimeter-wave radar design solutions and system support.

In addition, for the new energy field, NXP's battery management solutions also include system-level chipset and software support.

35 years of experience in China

Li Tingwei said that NXP China has been around for 35 years since the establishment of the Shanghai office in 1986. During these 35 years, NXP has adhered to the concept of win-win cooperation and established a complete end-to-end R&D system in China. Currently, there are 6 R&D centers, and many products are defined, designed and developed locally. For example, the initial reference design of the S32G high-performance platform was proposed by the NXP Chongqing Automotive Electronics Application Development Center.

In May this year, NXP established an artificial intelligence application innovation center in Tianjin to meet the new requirements of edge AI. In the face of emerging new demands in the future, NXP can only truly realize a smarter and more sustainable world by working with partners to "combine local needs, deepen local strategies, and continuously enable innovation."

This is not only the purpose of the Connects conference, but also the development direction of NXP in recent years.

As stated at NXP's investor summit on November 11, today NXP, through its own business integration and the acquisition of Marvell's connectivity business, is fully shifting to secure edge processing, using technology to enable devices to sense, think, connect and act in an intelligent way, thereby creating a smarter world.
