Advantech’s EIS-S232 edge cloud solution simplifies multi-cloud integration and enables centralized management of data and devices

In the second quarter of 2022, Advantech, an AIoT platform and service provider, released its latest edge cloud solution - EIS-S232 edge intelligent server . With the increasing popularity of IoT applications, edge gateways are increasingly connected to the network for machine interaction. A common problem encountered during the application process is that edge gateways usually do not have enough storage space, network capacity, and supporting infrastructure. Similarly, when dealing with cloud computing and other advanced processing tasks, powerful management solutions are also very necessary. Advantech released the EIS-S232 to meet these challenges.

EIS-S232 can be used as an edge cloud server to store data. It is an ideal edge cloud solution for managing multiple distributed edge nodes. It is suitable for large-scale industrial IoT application scenarios with thousands of distributed nodes. At the same time, it is also suitable for environments where a large number of scattered devices are deployed, and other solutions are difficult to manage such devices simply and effectively.

Rapid deployment using MicroK8s and built-in microservices architecture

EIS-S232 supports the use of Ubuntu and Kubernetes. This allows applications to be deployed and upgraded quickly without interfering with running tasks. MicroK8s takes up less space and can scale from a single node to a high-availability production cluster. Such features are based on a convenient design and will support the use of multi-cloud integration in microservices.
