Siemens' new mPower digital solution now certified on GlobalFoundries platform


Siemens Digital Industries Software recently announced that mPower™, its digital solution for power integrity analysis for analog, digital and mixed-signal IC design, has now been certified for digital analysis on the GlobalFoundries (GF) platform.

GF's platform offers significant advances in power and performance, and is equipped with advanced capabilities such as RF, automotive, ultra-low power memory and logic to support next-generation ICs for the automotive, 5G, Internet of Things (IoT) and communications markets, as well as other high-performance digital and mixed-signal applications.

“Siemens is a great example of an ecosystem player that we can work with to provide innovative, timely solutions to our customers,” said Richard Trihy, vice president of design enablement at GlobalFoundries. “We are pleased to see Siemens enter the critical EDA area of ​​power integrity with its new power analysis solution that gives our customers greater flexibility in meeting sign-off requirements.”


Siemens' mPower integrated circuit (IC) power integrity verification solution supports analog, digital and mixed-signal designs while enabling comprehensive power, electromigration (EM) and voltage drop (IR) analysis. GF ​​has now certified the mPower digital flow and customers can request PDK support for their desired technology.
