Anesthesia/EEG Depth of Consciousness Monitoring System

The anesthesia/EEG depth of consciousness monitoring system is a new type of EEG depth of consciousness monitoring system developed by a research group at the Medical University of Hannover in Germany. It collects and analyzes real-time EEG signals at any position of the brain through ordinary ECG electrodes, and displays the patient's anesthesia/depth of consciousness status on a color touch screen after automatic classification. It guides the dosage adjustment of individual anesthetics/sedatives, making anesthesia/depth of consciousness monitoring more economical, simple, accurate and safe. It is specially used in the fields of consciousness monitoring such as operating rooms, ICUs, and neurosurgery.

Its main advantages are reflected in three aspects:

1. Accurate measurement of depth of consciousness:

A. Data Collection

1. Professional high-fidelity EMA EEG signal collection amplifier to ensure accurate data reading and strong anti-interference ability (similar products are professional high-fidelity amplifiers, so signal collection must be completed through high-precision click sheets, which increases the relative cost of consumables)

2. Click on continuous self-detection to ensure continuous high-quality EEG signals (other products use manual detection and cannot guarantee the accuracy of the signal at all times).

3. With dual-channel version, the brain point activities of the left and right hemispheres can be compared simultaneously.

B. Data Analysis

1. Automatically classify brain waves of intravenous and inhalation anesthesia.

Patients of different ages can be automatically classified, and the age is accurate to the day, ensuring the consistency of the results (other similar products are only divided into children and adult groups, but during childhood, brain waves develop gradually before the age of ten. If only one operation mode is used, patients of different ages will have different results, and the anesthesiologist needs to correct the results himself).

3. Perform data analysis on the original EEG signal (Similar products are analog digital signals, and the brain waves displayed on the screen are analog waves, which are not suitable for clinical EEG analysis. 2. There is no special requirement for the electrode position, and data can be read from any part of the brain. (The electrode position of similar products is fixed to the forehead and cannot be changed to other positions. The conventional position of the N electrode is also the forehead, but when the area is a surgical or disinfected area, the electrode can be attached to any position of the brain and can be used in all clinical general anesthesia surgeries).

3. Powerful data processing capabilities:

1. Powerful computing power, able to process raw EEG data, and respond quickly. (Similar products currently have a modular series, which can be inserted into a compatible multi-parameter monitor to monitor the depth of anesthesia. However, after modularization, the computing power is greatly reduced, the delay time is long, and the anti-interference ability is poor. At present, some hospitals are basically not satisfied with the use of them after purchasing them.)

(Similar products are less than 400 hours, and the storage medium is flash memory, data is easy to lose; hard disk storage, large capacity, easy to browse and search data, data can be imported into the computer, no upper limit to save.)

3. The data can be imported into the computer for statistical analysis. (The data can be imported into the computer or printed using a common printer, and stored in Excel format, which is convenient for customers to manage and count the data. The data volume is large, including all EEG spectrum data. Similar products can only use the built-in thermal printer to print simple data.)
