The best entry point is that the technical requirements of customers match the characteristics of LEDs. For example, the low-power LED bulbs and MR16 lamp series that appeared earlier on the market. Priority is given to the use of LEDs with mature technology and products that can be realized and have application prospects, such as high-power 1W, etc., and now a large number of single 20mA low-power LEDs are used as lamps to meet market demand during the transition period.

According to the characteristics of LED, the following points are given priority:

1. The working voltage of LED is direct current. It is suitable as a light source for solar lighting.

2. LED does not require filaments to emit light. It is suitable for making safety lighting such as riot lamps and mining lamps.

3. The switching frequency of LED is very high. It is suitable for occasions with frequent switching times, such as human body induction lights and kitchen lights.

4. It is easy to adjust the brightness of LEDs. For example, LED street lights and tunnel lights can be appropriately dimmed in the second half of the night when there are fewer vehicles, thus further saving electricity.

5. The lower the working temperature of LED, the higher the luminous efficiency. It is suitable for low temperature lighting, such as freezers, etc.

6. LED emits planar directional light, and the light source utilization rate is high. It is suitable for LED street lights and tunnel lighting, etc.

There are other aspects, such as power outage emergency lighting, insect repellent lighting, lighting for plant factories, etc.

4. Patent Strategy

In recent years, the country has paid great attention to the upstream and midstream industries of LED and invested heavily to support their development. However, in fact, the proportion of scientific research results or the speed of progress in the epitaxy and chip fields are not very ideal. It is difficult to break through key technologies and reach the international leading level in a short period of time, or to meet the increasing high-end demand in China. It is a well-known fact that foreign countries have patent blockades in the upstream and midstream fields such as chips. There is still room for patents in downstream applications.

The purpose of applying for a patent is a means to achieve a specific business purpose and a weapon for enterprises to obtain high profits. If the capital and technology of an enterprise are necessary conditions, patents are sufficient conditions. Patents drive competitors out of the market, monopolize the market, and improve the market position of patented products. Therefore, under the situation of increasing competition in the LED industry, LED lighting companies should strengthen their patent awareness and tilt their R&D investment, change the traditional competitive strategy of gaining advantages by low prices, and steadily develop core application technologies, apply for patents, reserve technologies, and accumulate experience.

5. Strive to create a brand

Only when the right time, right place, and right people are in place can the economic benefits of proportional input and output be achieved. The creation of traditional well-known domestic brands has gradually developed under specific conditions. The emerging LED lighting market with huge potential in China will create a group of new well-known brand companies. Therefore, LED lighting companies should seize the rare development opportunities, improve the awareness that brand creation is also opportunity creation, establish corporate image, enhance visibility, establish marketing networks, cultivate the market, strive to build brands, create a new path, and wait for the right time to take the initiative, attack the market with a big trend, and increase market share.
