LED Bicycle Lights

The small generator G1 is installed on the axle of the front wheel of the bicycle. The generator can generate a 30V (peak) sinusoidal wave voltage when it is unloaded.

The AC voltage generated by the generator is bridge rectified (D1-D4), filtered by capacitors (C1, C2), and DC stabilized (T1, D5). The output DC voltage is used to operate the astable multivibrator composed of T3 and T2, and the LA1 and LA2 lamps composed of light-emitting diodes emit light in turn.

For example, the front light LA1 of the bicycle can be a white light emitting diode, and the rear light LA2 can be a red light emitting diode. The oscillation frequency is determined by the time constants of R3, C3 and R4, C4, t = R3 × C3 = 0.2 seconds.

The circuit board can be installed under the seat cushion, and the output of the generator enters under the seat cushion through the cable and then reaches the headlights and taillights.
