Bourns' new Multifuse® PPTC resettable fuses are designed for high operating temperature/high operating current applications
New Bourns® MF-RHS High Power Rated Series Significantly Improves Efficiency in Motors and Industrial Designs
Adopting small size package and low power consumption design
Bourns® Multifuse® MF-RHS
January 5, 2024 - Bourns, USA, a world-renowned leading manufacturer and supplier of electronic components for power, protection and sensing solutions, launches the new Multifuse® MF-RHS high temperature radial lead polymer positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) recoverable fuse. Bourns' new fuse series meets the need for a wider range of high-temperature PPTC protection solutions and is in line with product designs that have higher requirements for operating temperatures and high power ratings in various equipment (especially motors and industrial applications).
The new MF-RHS series is based on Bourns' advanced design that improves recoverable fuse performance and supports an operating temperature range of up to 125 °C. Its performance enhancements include an increased 100 A maximum current rating (Imax), including at 16 V maximum rated voltage Lower holding current rating range (Ihold) from 3.5 A to 13.0 A, and enhanced resistance stability at a smaller PPTC product size. The series' smaller package size and low-power design also help improve overall power application efficiency.
Bourns® Multifuse® MF-RHS series is now available, all RoHS* compliant and halogen-free products
**. The series is also UL and CSA certified and manufactured in Bourns' IATF 16949 certified factory.
*RoHS Directive 2015/863 of March 31, 2015 and its annexes.
**Bourns products qualify as "halogen-free" if (a) the bromine content is less than or equal to 900 ppm (b) the chlorine content is less than or equal to 900 ppm, and (c) the sum of bromine and chlorine content is less than or equal to 1500 ppm.
