Vishay introduces ultra-thin MTC package three-phase bridge power module to improve system reliability and reduce production costs
The 130 A to 300 A devices produced at the Mumbai assembly plant have excellent thermal performance and are suitable for a variety of industrial applications
MALVERN, Pennsylvania, USA and Shanghai, China — December 19, 2022 — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. recently announced the launch of three new series of 130 A~300 A three-phase bridge power modules in ultra-thin MTC packages to improve the reliability of heavy-load industrial application systems.
The 130 A VS-131MT…C, 160 A VS-161MT…C and 300 A VS-301MT…C series modules are suitable for welding machines, switching power supplies, plasma cutting, industrial battery charging and motor control line frequency input rectification. The packaged devices are designed to be rugged to meet the needs of these applications, and their highly thermally conductive MTC package provides excellent thermal performance.
The three series of power modules released recently are equipped with simple screw connectors to help shorten assembly time, with blocking voltages of 1600 V and 1800 V respectively. The device isolation voltage is 3600 VRMS, the forward voltage is as low as 1.54 V, and the junction-to-case thermal resistance is only 0.038 C/W. Designed and certified for industrial-grade applications, the solution is RoHS-compliant and certified by UL E78996.
