Power Integrations Launches PowerPros Live Video Application Engineering Support to Solve Design Challenges in Real Time, 24/7
SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 20, 2022 – Power Integrations, the leader in high-voltage integrated circuits for energy-efficient power conversion, today announced PowerPros℠, a live online video technical support service that enables power designers to communicate directly with members of the Power Integrations applications engineering team virtually anywhere, 24 hours a day, 6 days a week. Designers around the world can video call with expert power electronics engineers to discuss real-world engineering problems, including complete project design and debugging, and share bench test results.
Initially piloted during the COVID-19 pandemic to provide real-time support to Power Integrations customers, this service has now been expanded with a new facility, additional team members, extended hours, and real-time video communications.
“This is a technical solutions service that gives anyone direct access to experienced application engineers at any time of day or night,” said Trevor Hiatt, director of channel marketing at Power Integrations. “This service is so popular with customers that they rate it 4.4 out of 5 stars, with 93% of questions answered within 72 hours. Some questions require only a reference to the relevant section of the data sheet, while many require a more in-depth analysis discussion. PowerPros staff provide recommendations on component and topology selection, review schematics and PCBs, assist with transformer design, and perform real-time design debug.”
PowerPros users can collaborate with Power Integrations engineers in real time to solve their design challenges in real time using a comprehensive range of test instruments and design tools. Our support covers Power Integrations' broad portfolio of power supplies and drivers and a variety of related applications, including industrial control, home appliances, smart homes and smart buildings, electricity meters, chargers and adapters, power tools, electric vehicles, motor drives, and LED lighting.
