The device R25 resistance includes 1 k and 1.5 k low resistance and 5 k resistance, which is suitable for IGBT and power MOSFET modules in EV and HEV vehicles.
MALVERN, Pennsylvania — April 11, 2022 — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. recently announced that the NTCS0603E3.....T and NTCS0805E3.....T series of automotive-grade glass-encapsulated protection thermistors have expanded to 0603 and 0805 case sizes with new resistance values at +25 °C (R25). The devices meet AEC-Q200 standards, and the R25 resistance values include low resistance values of 1 k and 1.5 k and a new resistance value of 5 k, which are suitable for IGBT and power MOSFET module protection in electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs).
Enhanced thermistors are glass encapsulated for full protection, with R25 resistance and β value (B25/85) tolerances as low as ± 1 %, enabling accurate temperature detection, protection and compensation over the -40 ° C to +150 ° C temperature range.
The NTCS0603E3.....T and NTCS0805E3.....T series devices are smaller than MELF resistors, easy to assemble, and have extremely high bending strength. They are suitable for automotive buck-boost converters, LED modules, battery packs, electric vehicle charging stations, wind and solar panel inverters, and office equipment.
The NTC thermistor adopts SMD structure, nickel-tin terminal, suitable for wave soldering and reflow soldering. The device is RoHS compliant, halogen-free, and packaged in reel perforated paper tape, 4,000 pieces per reel.
Device Specifications:
Samples and production quantities of the NTCS0603E3.....T and NTCS0805E3.....T family extensions are available now, with lead times of 20 weeks for larger orders.
