OmniVision Group Creates High-Efficiency 28V 2A Synchronous Buck Converter WD1502F

The WD1502F is equipped with an internal synchronous power switch, which improves efficiency while eliminating the need for an external Schottky diode, further reducing the number of components and saving design space. In addition, the WD1502F uses pulse width modulation (PWM), and the fixed switching frequency for normal operation is 650kHz; under light load current, it will enter the pulse skipping modulation (PSM) operation mode and maintain high efficiency and low output ripple over the entire load current range. Therefore, electronic equipment can achieve efficient operation, energy reduction and consumption reduction by equipping this DC-DC buck converter.

The product has short circuit protection, thermal protection and input undervoltage lockout functions, which can effectively avoid potential safety hazards in the step-down conversion process.
