After selecting New, the design wizard will pop up. In the Family drop-down box, the types of AC-DC switching power supplies commonly used by PI are listed . Package is the chip package, and Enclosure indicates whether the switching power supply can be "freely ventilated". "Open Frame" is open and can be freely ventilated, and "Adaper" is sealed and cannot be freely ventilated.

After clicking "next", the specification input pops up. In the AC default radio button, select the input range of AC power. The default is 85 to 265V wide AC input.

After clicking "next", the specification output will pop up, which is the DC output voltage of the switching power supply . Click "Add" to add the output voltage and current size and whether a second-order filter is required.

We add two sets of outputs, 12v and 5v, and the current is 1A. Then click "next" and then "finish" to pop up the design result.

Pop up solution filter, Number of best solutions: 6 means the best 6 solutions, Use Shield Winding: Use shield winding in transformer design,

NS Main Range: the total number of turns of the main output winding, Core range: core type selection.

After clicking OK, a pop-up window will pop up showing the best 6 solutions after automatic design. We will choose the first one here.

This is the final design result, the component parameters and the winding method of the transformer winding are given!
