Advantages of LED medical energy-saving lighting
In 2009, the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University adopted an integrated LED energy-saving lighting solution, and installed one color temperature adjustable LED surgical shadowless lamp, two mobile LED surgical shadowless lamps, two integrated LED surgical shadowless lamps and two suspended LED surgical shadowless lamps in several operating rooms. In addition, a total of 232 LED fluorescent lamps were installed for indoor lighting , and the "LED energy-saving demonstration operating room" was established first, creating a new medical lighting solution. In 2011, the newly built internal medicine building of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University installed 656 LED flat panel lamps, which greatly saved the power consumption of surgery and indoor lighting, and at the same time, the lighting effect and environmental comfort were significantly improved.
After applying the LED overall lighting solution, the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University saves 202,000 kWh of electricity annually and saves 172,000 yuan in electricity bills. Among them, indoor lighting saves 168,000 yuan in electricity bills, and the operating room lighting LED shadowless lamp saves 4,000 yuan in electricity bills. The indoor lighting saves 72,000 yuan in annual lamp replacement and maintenance costs, and the total annual cost savings for indoor lighting is 240,000 yuan.
Features of LED shadowless lamp
Surgical shadowless lamps, inspection lamps, operating room lighting lamps, etc. are conventional and necessary lighting equipment in hospitals. The LED surgical shadowless lamps used by the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University are very different from traditional surgical shadowless lamps. Traditional shadowless lamps, inspection lamps, etc. are large lamp heads composed of umbrella-shaped lamp shells and a group of halogen bulbs. It has many problems in design and application, such as excessive temperature rise, uneven brightness at the center spot, high power consumption, large color difference, large size, failure to meet the requirements of vertical and horizontal air laminar flow, and unsuitable for use in high-demand purification operating rooms. Low lighting quality affects doctors' identification of tissues. The LED surgical shadowless lamp uses LED as the light source of the shadowless lamp to replace the traditional halogen bulb. It is small in size, with excellent heat dissipation design and optical structure. The whole lamp is small in size and thin in overall structure. Compared with the clumsy structure of the traditional surgical shadowless lamp, it is more conducive to air convection in the operating room and improves the environment of the operating room.
Advantages of LED lighting in hospitals
LEDs used in hospital lighting not only have significant energy-saving effects, but also have significant environmental benefits: (1) Energy saving: 202,000 kWh of electricity is saved annually, and 20.2 tons of carbon dioxide emissions are reduced; (2) Comfortable environment: LED lights do not emit ultraviolet rays, infrared rays, etc., do not attract mosquitoes, and make the operating room environment cleaner and more comfortable; at the same time, LEDs do not flicker, and the light is even, which can relieve doctors' visual fatigue during long-term surgery and improve the quality of surgery. (3) Reduce wound infection: LED surgical lights have low temperature rise, which reduces the chance of intraoperative infection and complications; it can avoid the phenomenon that general light sources may contain UV or IR spectra, causing skin lesions or difficult wound healing. (4) LEDs have a long life of about 30,000 hours, which is 50 times that of traditional surgical light sources. Conventional lamps and ballasts have a life of about 6,000 hours, which reduces the scrap rate of lamps and reduces waste.
LED medical lighting products not only achieve green and low-carbon energy-saving effects, but can also improve the cleanliness of operating rooms, improve the level of diagnostic examinations, facilitate the rehabilitation of patients, and realize the green and low-carbon functions of LED health lighting. In the future, it will be of great significance to the laminar purification energy saving and building energy saving in operating rooms, and will have good social and economic benefits.
