High efficiency, low EMI, LED driver solution requiring only four external components

Dahl Technology introduces the high efficiency and low EMI LED driver AL8807A. Analog dimming exceeds the range of 10:1. AL8807A provides three protection modes in case of bulb failure: 1. Automatic shutdown in case of overtemperature. 2. Automatic stop switching when the LED is open. 3. Continue switching when the LED is short-circuited, but reduce the switching cycle to reduce power consumption. AL8807A can operate in the range of up to 1MHz, achieving the goal of reducing the area of ​​the external components occupying the overall board. The small package MSOP-8EP package size only requires 4 external components, resulting in a small solution.
