The CMOS ZC256 circuit is a "four-in-one" circuit with decimal counting function, output latch function, BCD to seven-segment decoding function and display driving function. It can directly drive the LCD. For components that need digital display, one digit only needs one circuit with one display device, so it is very convenient to use. The pin arrangement and function of ZC256 are shown in the figure. The function of ZC256 is shown in Table 9-47.
From the pin-out function and function table, we can see that CP is the counting pulse input terminal.
