It is extremely important to choose a good product and use it correctly. This article provides a detailed introduction and explanation of the current use of LEDs, which can be used as a reference for LED peers and consumers.
First: The use and precautions of LED guardrail tubes. Guardrail tubes are a product for lighting the exterior facade of buildings, which plays a relatively large role in beautifying the city. Considering that its installation environment is relatively special, the maintenance cost is very high. Therefore, it is required to be very cautious and careful when selecting and using guardrail tubes to minimize unnecessary maintenance costs and economic losses.
Sealing of guardrail pipe: In the spot market, we can see that some guardrail pipes are sealed with silicone or hot melt glue at the outer cover interface (Note: This is not feasible, and such waterproof treatment can be said to be useless). Due to the large temperature difference between day and night (especially in winter), the port cover of the outer cover is inconsistent with the thermal expansion and contraction coefficient of the outer cover, which leads to gaps in the glued parts. Once it rains, rainwater seeps into the pipe, causing the LED to short-circuit and the circuit board to burn. Therefore, interface waterproofing is of great importance. Now many manufacturers use bent outlet wires, and then use glue (such as epoxy resin) to seal it.
Waterproofing of connectors: Wire connectors are electrical connection parts, and plastic connectors are usually used. Long-term exposure to wind, sun and rain outdoors can easily cause plastic aging or even deformation, which can lead to failure of the waterproof rubber ring, and rain seeping in and causing a short circuit in the wires. The correct way to use it is to seal the outside of the connector with high-pressure tape, and then seal it with electrical tape to prevent water leakage.
Choice of lamp cover: Good lamps are made of high-quality PC materials. Some manufacturers use impure PC materials to reduce production costs, and even use recycled materials (which are absolutely not allowed). This makes the PC materials not resistant to ultraviolet rays, which has a great adverse effect on the project. Therefore, when choosing lamps, users must require manufacturers to use pure PC materials to ensure the quality of the outer tube.
The connection length of the lamp is limited: Since the connection power supply of the lamp is low-voltage power supply, the voltage is 12~24V. Therefore, the lamp series connection cannot be too long, and the single-ended low-voltage output is generally within 10 meters for best insurance. When choosing a power supply, you should also pay attention not to covet the temporary cheapness and use the "resistance-capacitance step-down" method to power the LED, which will directly shorten the life of the product. Choose a dedicated LED switching power supply, preferably a constant current source, to ensure that the working current of the LED is not affected by the external temperature.
