Because the electronic lock is unlocked by the motor driving the clutch, the motor and clutch must be durable, and the two components must be in the lock body to avoid violent unlocking. The quality of these two hardware also needs attention, and it is recommended to choose a manufacturer with certain lock manufacturing qualifications.

  How to prevent lock breaking?

Everyone has seen a key word in the news - the black box. You can use it to scan the smart door lock to unlock it directly. What is the principle?

This little black box is actually a mini high-intensity electromagnetic pulser that can generate a strong magnetic field and then destroy surrounding electronic equipment. When a smart door lock encounters such a strong voltage and current, the chip on the circuit board will freeze. Most smart locks on the market default to restarting when the chip freezes, and then automatically unlocking after restarting. Therefore, those low-quality smart door locks are powerless in front of this little black box.

Fortunately, many mainstream door lock companies now pay attention to this issue. In the test, 85% of the door locks can prevent black boxes. Basically, they have improved the circuit design and added voltage stabilization modules to prevent high voltage shocks. Therefore, when buying smart door locks, you should choose regular channels and big-name manufacturers.

If you claim that your smart door lock is not afraid of black boxes, fingerprint unlocking may not be 100% safe. According to news reports, 36 out of 38 models support fingerprint recognition, but 10 models have security risks, nearly 30%. These lower-end fingerprint recognition generally use LED light to enter the finger, diffuse inside the finger and emit from the fingerprint to be detected by PD, combined with capacitive fingerprint image acquisition.

Simply put, it is to shine a light on your finger, and the machine will see the fingerprint clearly and compare it with the fingerprint in the memory and then pass it.

So you only need to take a little wax and glue to replicate your fingerprint and you can pass these low-end fingerprint recognition door locks. Wax costs 1 yuan, glue costs 0.8 yuan, and a bottle of glue can make 200 fingerprint films, each costing less than 1 cent.

But you don't have to worry too much. First of all, we rarely leave complete fingerprints in our lives, and just taking a fingerprint and making a picture will not fool the machine, unless a thief gets your finger...

Now, better smart lock manufacturers will add live sensors to fingerprint recognition, which can determine the temperature and capacitance of the finger to prevent fingerprint mold impersonation. The grip will also adopt an anti-fingerprint frosted design to reduce the possibility of thieves collecting fingerprints.

But you must also remain vigilant. If you find any residual foreign matter or physical damage in the fingerprint recognition, you should immediately stop using the fingerprint recognition function and contact the manufacturer to resolve the issue.

Face unlocking is even less secure. All four door locks that support face recognition can be cracked by a photo. It is still a long way to go to achieve the million-level security of Apple's "Face ID", and the cost is also high.

There are also those that unlock by swiping a card or a mobile phone, which all utilize the NFC function, a short-range wireless communication technology. Among these 30 smart door locks with induction card unlocking function, 28 have risks, accounting for 94%.

When the mobile phone is at a certain distance from the information card, a set of data will appear on the phone. According to experts, attackers can use the read information to copy a new induction card with the same unlocking information as the door lock induction card.

There are also those that use remote unlocking APP. If hacked, they can not only remotely control the door lock status and obtain the user's mobile phone information, but can even reversely enter the manufacturer's server and obtain a large amount of mobile phone information of users who use this brand of smart door locks.

Therefore, Qiuzhenjun recommends that you try not to use or turn off the facial recognition function and remote unlocking function, and properly keep the information identification card in daily use to prevent it from being illegally read and copied.

With the development of technology, smart door locks have entered thousands of households, which has made our lives more convenient, but also provided opportunities for criminals. When we choose smart door locks, we should not only look at the appearance and convenience, but also safety is the most important.
