1. Introduction
With the progress of social science and technology and economic development, modern transportation modes and travel tools have greatly improved the speed of urban life and facilitated people's daily life and work. At the same time, with the continuous increase in the number of urban motor vehicles, the contradiction between limited urban road resources and residents' driving needs has become more prominent. Traffic congestion, traffic incidents and the resulting traffic environmental pollution are becoming increasingly serious and have gradually become social issues that have attracted widespread attention. How to solve the problem of urban road traffic congestion has become a major problem facing relevant traffic management departments. In this context, the large-scale promotion and application of intelligent transportation technology to improve the level of road traffic management and the quality of traffic system operation has become a general trend to achieve the benign operation of the road traffic system.
As an important technical support for the entire intelligent transportation system, video intelligent analysis technology has been widely used. The comprehensive road violation monitoring system based on video analysis technology can detect and analyze vehicles on the road in real time. On the one hand, it can capture vehicle violations, play a role in regulating drivers' driving behavior and alleviating traffic congestion. On the other hand, it can also obtain real-time traffic flow information for reference by urban traffic management departments, which will play a role in reasonably building a road network system and timely traffic diversion to the greatest extent.
2. Application of Video Analysis Technology in Urban Transportation System
Focusing on the entire urban traffic system, video analysis technology can be roughly applied to three road areas: intersections, road sections, and moving buses. This design can achieve full coverage of the entire road traffic system. Through comprehensive illegal monitoring of three coverage methods, namely, urban intersections, road sections, and mobile, it is possible to establish a seamless urban traffic violation monitoring network, traffic flow collection network, and intelligent perception signal control system. This will directly provide powerful technical means for traffic information release, traffic guidance, and traffic law enforcement, and will inevitably improve the efficiency of traffic police law enforcement and the overall management level of urban traffic.

For example, the traffic information obtained by the front end is displayed to the traffic control personnel. For illegal information, the data needs to be written to the illegal management platform. It is convenient to post-process illegal vehicles. Traffic flow information needs to be displayed to customers through electronic maps. On the other hand, the information can be automatically fed back to the road traffic guidance system to facilitate the release of traffic information.
1. Comprehensive illegal monitoring at urban intersections
As an important node of urban traffic, urban road intersections are the key to the entire city's traffic. Installing a high-definition electronic police system based on video analysis technology at the intersection can monitor vehicles passing through the intersection in real time. First, the system can detect traffic parameter information such as road traffic flow, lane occupancy, queue length, average speed, etc. By connecting to the intersection signal controller, road signal control can be more effectively carried out, making the traffic light duration more reasonable and reducing vehicle waiting time; secondly, the system can monitor illegal behaviors of vehicles at intersections, thereby regulating the driving behavior of drivers. n Security checkpoint: While detecting illegal behavior at intersections, the system can also serve as a green light checkpoint.
nLicense plate recognition: For the license plate of illegal vehicles, the system can automatically perform license plate recognition, and the recognition results can be directly written into the database.
nTraffic parameter statistics function: The system can count the vehicles passing through the intersection in real time, and send the data to the traffic control signal in real time. The signal can reasonably control the red light according to the real-time vehicle information.
nData upload: Violation data and traffic parameter data can be uploaded to the traffic command center in real time through the IP network system. The traffic control center can process the violation data in the next step, and the traffic flow information can be displayed in real time on the command and dispatch platform and can be released in real time through the traffic information release system.
2. Comprehensive illegal monitoring of road sections
Compared with the traffic conditions at intersections, the situation on the road section is better, and the functions required are simpler than those at intersections. There are also two aspects: traffic parameter statistics and road violation detection. The main violations are not driving in the lane, such as "cutting in", occupying the emergency lane, and pressing the solid line. These violations can easily cause traffic accidents on the road section, thereby aggravating the congestion of the road.
The comprehensive road violation detection system based on intelligent video analysis technology can realize real-time monitoring of road traffic. In addition, the system using embedded intelligent all-in-one machine as imaging and control equipment can be powered by solar energy and 3G wireless data transmission, and can be easily migrated, so as to achieve the purpose of flexible deployment of road sections. After taking photos, the license plate of the illegal vehicle can be recognized in real time.
nTraffic flow parameter statistics function: Through real-time image analysis, the system can obtain traffic parameter information on the road section, including lane occupancy, average vehicle speed, etc.
nLike the comprehensive violation monitoring system at intersections, the traffic parameter information and vehicle violation information obtained by the road section system can be uploaded to the central traffic management platform via the IP network in real time.
3. Mobile comprehensive illegal monitoring
Vigorously developing the public transportation system has become one of the effective solutions to alleviate urban road congestion. Bus lanes have been adopted by major cities due to their low investment, quick results, and low technical requirements. However, in practice, bus lanes are often occupied by private vehicles. In this case, it is particularly necessary to establish a monitoring system for illegal occupation of bus lanes.
The mobile comprehensive violation detection system based on intelligent video analysis technology uses high-definition intelligent devices to detect vehicles occupying bus lanes, and once a public vehicle is detected entering, it will be captured. The system uses GPS vehicle positioning and 3G wireless transmission, and can be easily installed on the front or rear of the bus to monitor the entire operation of the vehicle to obtain the vehicle's location information in real time, and upload the vehicle's violation data and location information to the traffic control center.

3. Conclusion
With the improvement of network transmission infrastructure (wireless transmission and the Internet), the rapid development of mobile information publishing platforms (smart phones), and the widespread application of image and video acquisition equipment, the demand for image recognition applications will enter a period of rapid growth. Through high-definition embedded intelligent camera technology and core video recognition algorithms, the integration of high-definition cameras and intelligent analysis software has become a reality. In particular, the introduction of high-performance, low-power, and low-cost video perception products has made it possible to establish a large-scale or even full-coverage intelligent traffic violation monitoring network and a large-scale traffic flow monitoring network, and the role of intelligent video analysis technology is becoming increasingly important. The widespread use of intelligent video technology in urban traffic in the future can make us sure that it will play a more active role in improving the efficiency of traffic police law enforcement and the level of urban traffic management, and alleviating urban traffic congestion.
