Version 5.4 is designed to meet the application needs of modern wireless systems and can be used for multi-channel digital modulation analysis when combined with a Tektronix 5 Series MSO, 6 Series MSO or DPO70000 oscilloscope.
Beijing, China, May 27, 2024 - Tektronix, a leading supplier of test and measurement solutions, recently announced the release of SignalVu spectrum analyzer software version 5.4. The new version of the software can perform multi-channel modulation analysis on up to 8 signals at the same time. Engineers can use this software to transform existing oscilloscopes into comprehensive wireless system testers without investing in dedicated testers such as vector signal analyzers. The software is particularly suitable for applications that require time domain analysis of RF measurements. The software package can be run on Tektronix 5 Series MSO, 6 Series MSO or DPO70000 oscilloscopes.
SignalVu Spectrum Analyzer Software version 5.4 expands multi-channel analysis capabilities and enhances digital modulation analysis for a wide range of applications (SVM option). This latest update supports up to 26 wireless modulation schemes, including but not limited to nFSK, nPSK, and nQAM, and introduces 1024QAM to meet the needs of higher bandwidth applications.
SignalVu 5.4 supports parallel analysis of up to 8 signal sources, while improving engineers' insight and work efficiency. The new version of the software can solve the complex needs of multi-signal, multi-standard and multi-device under test (DUT) scenarios, truly becoming an indispensable tool for modern RF and wireless research and development.
In addition, the new software version introduces the shared acquisition multi-signal function, which can simultaneously analyze signals that are separated in frequency but input through the same oscilloscope channel. This is very important for verifying and optimizing advanced wireless communication systems, including phased array antennas, next-generation RF transmitters and mixed-signal integrated circuits.
"With SignalVu's introduction of multi-channel analysis capabilities to oscilloscopes, advanced communications engineers will find Tektronix to be an invaluable aid in their RF/wireless signal analysis," said Christopher White, Director of Product Management and Performance Platforms at Tektronix . "While most leading test and measurement competitors offer multi-channel vector signal analyzer (VSA) analysis, they often fail to provide comprehensive cross-domain analysis capabilities, lack an intuitive user interface, or are too costly. Our version 5.4 directly addresses these pressing needs by providing advanced, user-friendly, and cost-effective analysis capabilities. SignalVu version 5.4 not only solves existing problems, but also sets a new standard for signal analysis tools that will have a significant impact on the market."
SignalVu version 5.4 follows version 5.3, which was released in September 2023. Version 5.3 added important features such as measuring phase and amplitude differences between multiple signals, support for external downconverters for measuring higher frequencies, and simultaneous analysis of pulse characteristics of multiple radar signals. The new software version also automates phase noise measurements with an MSO.
SignalVu spectrum analyzer software helps RF engineers and researchers gain in-depth analysis of RF signals for wireless, military and government applications, as well as microwave and IoT. As an add-on to modern oscilloscopes, SignalVu enables MSO/DPO oscilloscope users to gain comprehensive insight into complex systems such as radar, electronic warfare, satellite communications, MIMO, uplink/downlink, mesh networks, and phased array systems.
Tektronix SignalVu version 5.4 is available now worldwide. Digital Modulation Analysis is available as a downloadable license (SVM).
