Improve performance and responsiveness, take full advantage of metadata, and upgrade the Python® interface
June 2023 - imc Test & Measurement, a manufacturer under the Axiometrix Solutions Industrial Test Group, has released the latest version of imc STUDIO 2024 for the entire measurement process . The most important new features of this update include more efficient input and management of metadata for better documentation of test results and boundary conditions; support and simplification of measurement microphone calibration, and a Python® interface for flexible expansion of data analysis options in upgraded post-processing. In short, the functions and operating performance of imc STUDIO 2024 have been further improved, and experimental configurations with hundreds of active channels can be processed simultaneously, with significantly faster response speed.
Improve operating speed and responsiveness
In order to enable future test engineers using imc measurement systems and data acquisition devices to focus more on their core competence, i.e. reliably performing measurements and accurately interpreting the results, imc STUDIO has been further enhanced in terms of efficiency, functionality and user-friendliness. These improvements include comprehensive measurement documentation with metadata, new practical interfaces and the recording of complete calibration history for reliable traceability for trend analysis.
Upgraded and simplified microphone calibration function
imc STUDIO 2024 now supports convenient measurement microphone calibration for acoustic and NVH workflows. This feature allows the acoustic sensor to be calibrated in real time and the entire history to be saved as a FAMOS data file with reliable traceability for trend analysis. These features can be integrated into imc STUDIO as part of the imc WAVE NVH extension package.
Leverage valuable metadata
In order to draw the most accurate conclusions from complex measurement results for subsequent analysis, it is necessary to carefully record all important additional information, including the test conditions and any parameters or environmental variables that changed during the process. This is the best way to gain valuable insights from your valuable and carefully compiled measurement data. imc STUDIO 2024 offers a convenient metadata management solution, including the ability to prompt for and assign metadata in text or numerical form to measurement data, which can be used in FAMOS, displayed and edited in display panels and reports.

New Python® interface
The new Python® interface of imc STUDIO 2024 offers the possibility to combine measurement data with one of the industry's most popular programming languages for post-processing, for example in the fields of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI). By integrating algorithms coded in Python®, new innovative analysis methods are opened up and the opportunity to benefit from a collaborative global open source community is provided. For users who have already established workflows and programs in Python®, imc STUDIO 2024 can be seamlessly integrated.

Supports all generations of imc systems
As standardized test software, imc STUDIO 2024 supports all generations of imc DAQ systems, especially the latest imc ARGUSfit data acquisition devices and all their modules and functions. imc DAQ devices are not only intelligent data collectors, but also include real-time functions of PLC-like real-time test controllers. imc STUDIO is an independent operation analysis software with a unique concept, integrating the functions of data acquisition and real-time control in hardware and software. imc STUDIO enables advanced users and system integrators to design and implement complete, real-time test automation.
