Introduction to FS Numbers and Spectrum Analyzers
The R&S®FSV and R&S®FSVA are multifunctional signal and spectrum analyzer series, suitable for users involved in the development, production, installation and maintenance of radio frequency systems.
The R&S®FSV is the ideal instrument for all universal measurement tasks (test bench, production and field applications). The instrument provides digital modulation analysis compliant with new cellular and wireless standards, measuring components, chipsets and base stations at an analysis bandwidth of up to 160 MHz.
Typical test tasks include standards-compliant spectrum emission mask measurements as well as spurious and adjacent channel leakage ratio (ACLR) measurements.
Measurement applications covering EMI diagnostics, phase noise, noise figure, analog demodulation and vector signal analysis round out the functionality offered by the universal R&S®FSV.
R&S®FSV signal spectrum analyzer features and advantages:
Frequency range up to 4/7/13.6/30/40 GHz
Up to 160 MHz signal analysis bandwidth
Touchscreen-based user interface for easy and intuitive operation (5 GHz)
0.4 dB level measurement uncertainty (up to 7 GHz)
Phase noise is –110 dBc (1 Hz) at 10 kHz frequency offset
+15 dBm third order cutoff (TOI)
Displayed average noise level (DANL) at 1 Hz bandwidth: –155 dBm at 1 GHz, –147 dBm at 30 GHz; with R&S®FSV-B24 preamplifier: –162 dBm (at 30 GHz)
General measurement applications covering phase noise, noise figure, vector signal analysis, analog demodulation, and EMI diagnostics
Supports wireless measurement applications of LTE (including LTE Advanced), WLAN (including IEEE 802.11ac), WCDMA/HSPA+, TD-SCDMA, GSM/EDGE, CDMA2000®/1xEV-DO, and Bluetooth®
Frequencies up to 500GHz with harmonic mixers
Use removable SSD or hard drive to ensure confidentiality of test data
Always keep firmware updated
