Purpose of test: Dry goods refer to physical objects and seasonings that have been air-dried or air-dried, such as seafood, mushrooms, white fungus, meat, peppers, and peppercorns that have been dehydrated. China is a country of gourmet food, and each part of the country has its own unique dry goods. Dry goods not only have a very long shelf life, but also can better maintain the flavor of the food itself. Of course, the premise is that the moisture content of the dry goods can be better controlled. Once the moisture content is too high, it will not only affect the taste and flavor of the dry goods themselves, but also breed bacteria and cause deterioration. Now we will use the Meade QL-720 series moisture meter to test the moisture content of packaged dried fish to see if the moisture content of the small dried fish we often eat meets the standard.
Test steps:
1. Unpack the moisture meter and take out the accessories including weights, bracket, sample tray, windproof tray, power cord, etc.
2. Install the windproof plate, bracket and sample plate one by one, turn on the power, press the power button, and the display screen will enter the power-on interface. First, press the tare button to subtract the weight of the sample plate, and then put a 100g weight into the tray for calibration;
3. After setting the test temperature, take an appropriate amount of dried fish with tweezers, tear it into small pieces, and evenly place it on the sample tray. Close the instrument cover and press the START button to start the moisture test. When the test is finished, the instrument will beep to prompt you, and you can view the moisture content result of the test on the LCD screen, which is 20.421%;
4. In order to ensure the accuracy of the test results, we conducted continuous tests according to the above steps after the instrument temperature cooled to below 40°C. The tested moisture contents were 20.421% (see the picture, the test time is different) and 20.608%, respectively. The maximum error was only 0.187%. Compared with the moisture content of 20%, this error is completely within the allowable range. The test results are reliable and repeatable.

Precautions:
1. When unpacking the packaged dried fish, use tweezers to pick it up to avoid errors in the test results caused by human factors;
2. The dried fish is a tight mass when it is unpacked. In order to dry it faster and more thoroughly, it should be torn into small pieces for testing;
3. After a test is completed, if you want to do the next test, you should wait for the instrument temperature to drop below 40°C to avoid errors caused by the instrument at high temperature;
4. During the test, avoid pressing the plane on which the instrument is placed and avoid wind blowing directly on the instrument to avoid affecting the test results;
5. During the test, the instrument is in a heating state. Inflammable and explosive items are prohibited from being placed around it. Testers should pay attention to safety when operating.
