Circuit breaker testers, also called high-voltage switchgear comprehensive testers, are used to check the operation and condition of circuit breakers in power systems; to this end, circuit breaker testers apply different models, which are used to test the equipment under a series of system conditions or operation types; at the same time, circuit breaker testers must have the ability to capture and measure the specific response of the DUT to a specific simulation {such as trip time, operation sequence, etc.}, so as to be able to evaluate its condition, characterize the behavior of the DUT to the expected measurement amplitude, and verify its appropriate and expected performance; circuit breaker testers are also powerful tools for solving faulty circuit breakers.
Circuit breaker testers must provide accurate and repeatable results to enable comparison with previous tests and predict circuit breaker failures before they occur; since circuit breakers operate for a relatively short time, circuit breaker testers must provide minimal setup work and connection time, as well as minimal testing complexity; therefore, circuit breaker testers must also be designed to save time and provide a unique combination of features that effectively optimize results and methods.
