The vortex flowmeter adopts the latest micro-processing technology, and has the advantages of strong functions, wide flow range, simple operation and maintenance, and convenient installation and use. The vortex flowmeter integrates flow, temperature, and pressure detection functions, and can automatically compensate for temperature and pressure. The vortex flowmeter is widely used in various gas measurement in the petroleum, chemical, electric power, metallurgy, coal and other industries.
Today we will learn about the working principle of the vortex flowmeter. When the fluid passes through the vortex generator composed of spiral blades, the fluid is forced to rotate violently around the axis of the generator to form a vortex. When the fluid enters the diffusion section, the vortex flow is affected by the backflow and begins to rotate secondary, forming a gyroscopic vortex precession phenomenon. The precession frequency is proportional to the flow rate and is not affected by the physical properties and density of the fluid. The detection element measures the secondary rotation precession frequency of the fluid and knows the flow rate. Moreover, the vortex flowmeter can obtain good linearity in a wide flow range.
When the vortex flowmeter is installed for the first time, if the measured pipeline is not allowed to be cut off, you can first complete the fixation and sealing of the "installation base" on the pipeline before the pipeline is opened, then install the ball valve, and then drill the hole with a water-stopping drill. After drilling, remove the water-stopping drill and install the sensor; or remove the water-stopping drill and temporarily close the ball valve to install the sensor later. The vortex flowmeter is powered by 220V, 24V and lithium battery. The instrument can display instantaneous flow and cumulative flow. When the user uses it to measure large-diameter pipelines and has different requirements for accurate measurement, we can choose this instrument as a metering meter. When selecting the vortex flowmeter, you must determine whether the medium temperature, pressure, and flow range meet the instrument measurement requirements. You must pay attention to the selection of the vortex flowmeter and pay attention to the correct installation of the vortex flowmeter to create a good operating environment for the vortex flowmeter.
When the fluid flowing along the axial direction enters the inlet of the flow sensor, the blades force the fluid to rotate, thereby generating a vortex flow in the center of the vortex generator. The vortex flow swirls in the Venturi tube and suddenly throttles when it reaches the contraction section to accelerate the vortex flow. When the vortex flow enters the diffusion section, it is forced to perform a secondary rotation due to the backflow.
If the vortex flowmeter is improperly installed and maintained, it will affect the measurement accuracy and other performance. The vortex flowmeter should be cleaned regularly. During the inspection, it was found that the detection holes of some probes were blocked by dirt or even wrapped by plastic cloth, which would affect the normal measurement. The grounding and shielding should be checked regularly to eliminate external interference. The probe installed in a humid environment should be dried regularly or treated with moisture-proof treatment. Since the probe itself is not treated with moisture-proof treatment, it will affect the operation after being damp. The management of the data of the vortex flowmeter should be given enough attention to facilitate future work.
