        Oscilloscopes are powerful and can even be used for multiple purposes.      1. Analyze the weak signal test attached to the main signal.

           The difficulty of doing this test is that the amplitude range is large (usually 1V or 2V), the signal cannot be accurately distinguished, and it is even difficult to observe. AC coupling makes the signal impossible to measure. In this case, the correct measurement method is to use an adjustable DC bias to pull the signal down to the voltage zero point without affecting the integrity of the signal.

2. During testing, we often need to monitor the developed products for a long time, such as one day or two days, and hope to record the abnormal signals that appear during this process. The traditional approach is to use programming methods to perform unattended monitoring. However, programming requires professional skills and time to handle. At this time, we need to use an oscilloscope for unattended testing.

 

3. Oscilloscope’s mathematical operation function

MATH analysis - advanced operations, including: integration, differentiation, Log, Exp, Sqrt, Sin, Cos, trend, etc.

4. Oscilloscopes can also be used for EMI rectification, such as the Tektronix MDO4000 series.

  Test method: When the product under test is in normal use, use a near-field probe to approach the signal radiated by the product under test, and then transfer it to the receiver spectrum analyzer to obtain the power values ​​of noise at different frequencies.
