The high-rate discharge meter simulates the load connected to the starter and measures the terminal voltage of the battery during high-current discharge. It can accurately determine the discharge degree and starting ability of the battery . The measurement method is shown in Figure 4-2
Place the two contacts of the high-rate discharge meter against the positive and negative poles of a single cell battery, and use the voltage value shown on the voltmeter of the discharge meter to judge the discharge degree and working capacity of the battery. The test shows that if the voltage value shown on the discharge meter is above 1.75V, it means that the single cell is completely standard. If the indication is between 1.5-1.75V, it should be recharged in time. If the voltage is as low as 1.5V and very unstable, or the voltage value between single cells differs by more than 0.1V, it means that the battery is faulty. If the voltage is 0V (the discharge meter is in good contact with the positive and negative poles), it means that the single cell battery is short-circuited or open-circuited.
