With the development of technology, Bluetooth technology is being used more and more widely, and at the same time, the standards for testing Bluetooth products are getting higher and higher.

Bluetooth product BQB test is divided into two parts: 1. RF test part EDR test. 2. Protocol and profile test. In Bluetooth EDR RF test, its main application system is BITE (Bluetooth Qualification Tester) system. Now we continue to introduce the EDR RF test project of Bluetooth transmitter from the previous issue.

TRM/CA/02/C Power Density, this test is strictly carried out according to the BLUETOOTH SPECIFICATION Version 2.1 + EDR standard, and the reference standard is ETS 300 328 (subclause 5.2.2). According to the standard requirements, power density needs to be tested under normal conditions and extreme conditions. Below we will only introduce the test under normal conditions. This test is different from the receiver test and the adjustment mode is completely different. The test intention and method are introduced below.

Test intention: The power density test is to verify the maximum power density output by the product under test.

    Test Methods:

    1. Connect the EUT to the test system through a 50Ω connector or a 50Ω external antenna.
    2. Enter the loopback test mode of the EUT, or debug it into transmitter mode alone.
    3. Turn on hopping when the system enters the test environment.
    4. Control the product under test through the LMP command to make the product under test output at the maximum power.
    5. Set the spectrum analyzer to the following parameters

6. The measured frequency peak and power value are calculated to obtain the power density.

Below is a screenshot of the test results.
