Classification of radar level meters
Radar level meters have become the mainstream product in the level measurement instrument market, and are mainly divided into radar level meters and guided wave radar level meters.
Radar level meter
The radar level meter transmits very short microwaves with very low power and is transmitted and received by the antenna system. Radar waves run at the speed of light. The running time can be converted into a level signal by electronic components. A special time extension method ensures stable and accurate measurement in a very short time. Even when there are false reflections, the latest microprocessing technology and software can accurately analyze the level echo. By entering the container size, the upper distance value can be converted into a signal proportional to the level. The instrument can be debugged with an empty warehouse. For applications in solid measurement, a high-frequency sensor in the K-band can be used. Since the signal focusing effect is very good, the installation in the silo or the adhesion of the silo wall will not affect the measurement.
Guided wave radar level meter
The microwave pulse of the guided wave radar level meter runs along a cable, rod or coaxial sleeve containing a rod. After contacting the measured medium, the microwave pulse is reflected back and received by the electronic components, and its running time is analyzed and calculated. The microprocessor identifies the level echo, analyzes and calculates it, and converts it into a level signal for giving. Due to the simple measurement principle, it can be adjusted without material, thus saving a lot of debugging costs. The measuring cable or rod can be shortened to make it more suitable for on-site applications. It is not sensitive to steam, and the measurement accuracy is not affected even in the case of strong smoke, noise, and steam. It is not affected by changes in the characteristics of the medium. Changes in the density or dielectric constant of the measured medium will not affect the measurement accuracy. Adhesion: No problem, the adhesion of the medium on the measuring probe or the container wall will not affect the measurement results. If the coaxial sleeve type measurement is used for the installation in the container, it will not be affected by the installation in the container at all, and no special debugging is required. Different types of probes are available for different applications: cable type, used to measure liquid media or heavy solid media, with a range of up to 60 meters; rod type, used to measure liquid media or light solid media, with a range of up to 6 meters; coaxial sleeve, used to measure low-viscosity media, not affected by process conditions, with a range of up to 6 meters.
