Some large farms, such as cattle, pigs, chickens, etc., are raised in some closed or semi-closed pens. Because the number of livestock and poultry raised is large and the density is high, these animals will exhale a lot of carbon dioxide. If they are not ventilated in a closed space for a long time, the carbon dioxide concentration will be too high, which will cause the animals to suffer from hypoxia, lack of energy, fatigue, loss of appetite, slow weight gain, and high incidence. At the same time, poor air circulation can easily lead to the outbreak of epidemics. For example, poor ventilation in pig houses will lead to a series of problems such as reduced immunity, decreased feed conversion rate, and respiratory infectious diseases. In recent years, infections such as porcine mycoplasma pneumonia (MPS), porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS), porcine atrophic rhinitis, porcine contagious pleuropneumonia (APP), pseudorabies, swine influenza, and porcine garden virus (PCV2) have caused an increase in the incidence of respiratory diseases in pigs and aggravated the harm. It is difficult to control after the onset of the disease; the incidence rate is generally 40-50%, and the mortality rate is 5-30%. However, if the ventilation is too fast and the wind speed is too high in winter, the heat in the pig house will be taken away, causing the room temperature to drop, the pigs' basal metabolism to increase, and their growth to slow down; in addition, if the ventilation is too fast, the pigs will feel uncomfortable due to the sudden changes in temperature. According to relevant professional data, the economic losses caused by poor ventilation are confirmed, and poor ventilation in pig houses increases the feeding cost by 10% to 20%.

Therefore, it is very important to detect the carbon dioxide concentration, temperature and ventilation rate in the breeding house. Installing a carbon dioxide gas detector and a temperature monitor in the breeding house and connecting them to the fan can monitor the above data at any time. When the carbon dioxide concentration exceeds the standard, the monitor will alarm and start the fan to automatically replace the fresh air; at the same time, the temperature and ventilation rate of the house are monitored at any time.
