Mass production of high-precision and high-output magnetic angle detection sensors for automotive motors begins
Alps Alpine Co., Ltd. (President and Representative Director: Toshihiro Kuriyama, Headquarters: Tokyo, “Alps Alpine”) has added two new magnetic sensors to its product lineup, building on its track record of in-vehicle applications in steering angle detection and electronic shifters, in response to the future of electrification.
With the development of assisted driving and automated driving, redundant design is required for automobile driving systems. Traditional redundant design generally uses multiple sensors to achieve safe operation even if a failure occurs. However, with the development of system miniaturization in recent years, there is an increasing demand to reduce the number of components, and the demand for angle sensors that can obtain dual-system signal outputs in a single product is increasing. This magnetic sensor has a built-in amplifier, which achieves miniaturization and single-ended 3Vpp high output to meet the requirements of redundant design. In addition, Dual-Die products can independently cope with the requirements of fully redundant design. This magnetic sensor is intended to be used in automotive motors. It has both 150°C high temperature environment coping performance and 120mT high magnetic field immunity achieved by using original thin film technology, which can build a high magnetic field immunity environment.
