Xingzong IoT Smart Museum environmental monitoring protects the "soul" of the city!

According to relevant data, as of 2022, there are 6,183 registered museums in my country, and the total number of museums has jumped to the top five in the world, basically forming a modern museum system with rich types and diverse subjects.

In 2013, the concept of smart museums was first proposed along with the construction of smart cities. In 2020, the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic greatly impacted the museum industry, and the digital construction of museums accelerated.

As a place for displaying collections, the museum exhibition hall is the top priority in the construction of a digital museum. Different from other environments, museum exhibition halls are affected by objective factors such as exhibition atmosphere layout and dense visitor flow, so the overall environment is relatively complex. How to provide a stable and safe display and storage environment for the collection of cultural relics has become a necessary step for many museums to become smart.

Previously, Xingzong IoT customized a set of [Smart Museum Cultural Relics Preservation Environmental Monitoring Solution] for a museum to monitor the environmental index of the museum exhibition hall in real time, providing a strong guarantee for the protection of the cultural relics in the collection.

Project requirements

Remote monitoring: Environmental monitoring parameters not only need to be displayed on site, but also need to be monitored remotely.

Wireless deployment: The solution requires wireless deployment to avoid confusing wiring, and the installation must be simple and convenient.

Beautiful appearance: Based on the "beautiful" attribute of the museum, the equipment must not only be practical, but the appearance design must also be simple and beautiful to adapt to different exhibition environments.

project description

In the project, Xingzong IoT used AM100 series indoor environment monitoring sensors, AM300 series indoor environment monitoring sensors, UG65 indoor base station gateway and other products to real-time monitor the temperature and humidity, carbon dioxide, personnel activity, light intensity, and atmospheric pressure in the museum. and formaldehyde and other environmental parameters, scientifically and accurately analyze changes in the museum’s environmental data, and strengthen the preventive protection of the museum.

Project benefits

Part.1

Wireless deployment, easy installation

The entire monitoring solution uses LoRa® wireless technology, which is easy to install and eliminates the trouble and expensive costs of wiring.

Part.2

Real-time monitoring, accurate data

The electronic ink screen design allows museum managers to check the temperature, humidity and other environmental conditions of the space where the exhibits are located in real time/remotely, easily solving the problem of museum managers not knowing whether the cultural relics are warm or cold.

Part.3

Intelligent linkage, reducing costs and increasing efficiency

The sensor can not only monitor parameters such as human activity, CO₂, and lighting in the museum, effectively control the density of tourists in the museum, but also carry out linked ventilation and lighting systems based on the concentration of CO₂ and the intensity of illumination.

As a professional provider of digital sensing products, Xingzong IoT has implemented multiple monitoring projects in museums in Shanxi, Guangxi, Henan, Guangzhou, Inner Mongolia, Anhui and other provinces and regions to protect museums and collections.

Museums are not only carriers of history, but also important channels for the inheritance of culture from generation to generation. When spring comes in March and the flowers bloom, let’s take advantage of the gentle spring breeze and go to the museum to appreciate the charm of history!
