In order to implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech during his inspection in Shaanxi and implement the deployment of high-quality development of the digital economy, the 2022 Western Digital Economy Expo (abbreviated as Western Digital Economy Expo) is scheduled to be held at the Xi'an International Convention and Exhibition Center from June 16 to 18, 2022, hosted by the Xi'an Municipal People's Government, Shaanxi Provincial Internet Information Office, Shaanxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Shaanxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and Shaanxi Provincial Communications Administration, and undertaken by the Xi'an Big Data Resources Administration, Xi'an Internet Information Office, Xi'an Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Xi'an Municipal Education Bureau, and Xi'an Chanba Ecological Zone Management Committee.

This Western Digital Expo is themed "Digital Empowerment and Smart Future - Innovation Drives High-Quality Economic and Social Development". It will include an opening ceremony and main forum, roundtable forums, parallel forums, special exhibitions, inspections and exchanges, etc. It aims to create a platform for open sharing of resources and industrial exchanges and cooperation, promote the role of the digital economy in government, industry, academia, research, and application, and contribute to the formation of a digital economic system in the West and the high-quality development of the digital economy.
