Alibaba recently announced that it has developed a new NFC technology that breaks the distance limit and increases the NFC sensing distance from 20 cm to 3 meters.
According to reports, Alibaba recently announced the latest technological breakthrough in the field of network communications. Its self-developed NFC technology (near field communication) has broken through the communication limits, expanding the traditional near-field communication perception distance in any direction from 20 centimeters to 3 meters, realizing "the world's longest communication distance NFC system."
Dr. Liu Hongqiang, head of the Alibaba Cloud Network Research Team, introduced that Alibaba's NFC technology has broken through the key bottleneck in realizing the current automated logistics. In the future, it can be widely used in scenarios that require long-distance, large-scale, and full-category identification of product information, such as logistics, fresh food, payment and other scenarios.
Alibaba's breakthrough in NFC technology has been included in SIGCOMM 2020, the world's top conference in the field of network communications. At this conference, Alibaba had 5 papers selected, ranking first among all participating Chinese institutions.
