4G DTU [Copy link]

4G DTU is a transmission device that can send data collected by RS232/485 to the cloud server through 3G/4G for data interaction. It can realize wireless long-distance data transmission of serial port devices, and then realize remote data communication management. It is mainly used in remote data collection and remote control projects. ZLAN's 4G DTU is divided into 2 types:

(1) Ordinary 4G DTU

ZLAN's common 4G DTU models ZLAN8303-7 , ZLAN8305 , ZLAN8304-7 , etc. can generally be connected to other network devices as TCP Server . Since the IP of 4G DTU is not fixed in 3G/4G mode , it is generally not used as TCP Server . In more cases, it is connected to a server with a fixed IP (or domain name) as a TCP Client and sends the data it collects. The software on the server can request data by polling. The RS232/485/422 interface of ZLAN8303-7 , ZLAN8305 , and ZLAN8304-7 can connect to the serial port devices and PLCs that need to be collected , send the polling instructions to the PLC , and upload the returned data to the server. In this way, the destination IP of 4G DTU must be set to the IP of the server , that is, the user must rent a server with a public IP . For users with public IP servers, ZLAN8303-7 and ZLAN8305 are also very convenient to use. However, for some applications, users may not have a public network server because they dial up to the Internet through a router. In this case, you need to set up "port mapping" and "dynamic domain name" on the router to send 4G DTU data to the server.

(2) P2P 4G DTU

The models of ZLAN P2P 4G DTU include ZLAN8303N-7 , ZLAN8305LN , ZLAN8304N2-7 , etc. There are devices with N in these models . They integrate ZLAN's P2P technology. Users can monitor anytime and anywhere using their laptops no matter where they are. P2P networking is a new technology for serial port networking. Unlike the traditional TCP/IP connection method based on IP plus port , P2P technology communicates based on device ID . Each ZLAN P2P 4G DTU product has a unique ID in the world . When users need to communicate through P2P , they only need to fill in the ID on their mobile phones and computers to establish a P2P connection with the device. Users only need to enter the device ID to communicate with devices all over the world, without worrying about whether the device is in the intranet or the extranet, nor do they need to do port mapping and do not need to worry about IP changes. P2P is a distributed network structure, which is different from the network structure based on central server forwarding. Instead, it uses direct P2P communication, which shortens the data communication time, improves the real-time communication, and can effectively solve the trouble of "port mapping" and "dynamic domain name" required by ordinary 4G DTU . There is no need to rent a server with a public network IP , and no additional investment is required. There is no need to modify the user-side PLC software, just like local serial port communication. It truly realizes convenient monitoring anytime and anywhere, supports encryption and user name verification communication, and ensures the security of communication.
