Commvault Appoints Mercer Rowe as Head of Global Channel and Alliance Partners

Commvault, a recognized global leader in software that manages data for cloud and on-premises environments, today announced at Commvault GO 2019 that it is embracing change and building a stronger, world-class sales and marketing team with the appointment of Mercer Rowe as Vice President of Global Channel and Alliance Partners and Edison Peres as Strategic Advisor.

Over the past decade, Mercer Rowe has held leadership positions in channel and alliance partners at companies such as VMware and IBM, helping these providers and their partners successfully transform to a "cloud-first" business. He served as CEO of VMware's joint venture with SoftBank in Japan, during which time he helped advance the adoption of cloud environments in the Asia-Pacific region. He also held leadership positions in business development and alliances at IBM Watson, during which time he expanded the company's services to multiple markets including China and the Middle East. Earlier in his career, Mercer Rowe worked at cloud computing-related startups in the enterprise software and service provider market, responsible for sales, channel and service department-related content.

Edison Peres founded Cisco's channel division and led it for 14 years. He has now joined Commvault as a strategic advisor to help it grow and expand into larger markets. Previously, Peres served as senior vice president of global channels at Cisco, leading the multi-billion dollar global partner division and helping Cisco build its managed services and cloud strategy.

Edison Peres has been recognized as a global thought leader and innovator in the technology industry for his successful work in transforming the business of multinational companies and improving profitability. He also serves on the boards of several companies.
