Intelligence and interconnection - empowering new industrial development. When artificial intelligence, automation, robots, industrial Internet, and digital factories are developing simultaneously, the Industrial Expo has become a weathervane for the transformation and upgrading of the global manufacturing industry, promoting the in-depth development of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
At this annual industrial event, Hexagon's dual booths for manufacturing intelligence appeared, and the independent exhibition area fully displayed Hexagon's smart quality solutions. As a member unit of the China Industrial Internet Industry Alliance, it displayed the Quality Cloud Industrial Internet Solution, empowering new industrial development with intelligence and interconnection capabilities.
At the forefront of the CIIF, Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence invited consulting experts and technical consultants in related fields in the industry to discuss in depth the digital transformation and upgrading of today's manufacturing industry and how to upgrade the core quality control of enterprises with the theme of "Intelligent Manufacturing and Smart Quality Transformation". Four special sharing sessions were full of practical information and excitement.
Strategies for promoting digital transformation of intelligent manufacturing
"Current situation assessment, business improvement and demand analysis, overall planning of intelligent manufacturing architecture, and implementation of intelligent manufacturing planning" are the key points of the "Four Steps of Intelligent Manufacturing Planning" strategy sharing by Dr. Huang Pei from the e-works Intelligent Manufacturing Research Institute. It clarifies the common cognitive misunderstandings in the current intelligent manufacturing industry and directly defines the essence of a smart factory as an "unity of knowledge and action" organization that "obeys orders, is alert, adapts to changes, and continuously improves."
Comprehensive quality control solutions in smart factories
Total quality management is to integrate quality into the entire product life cycle. Mr. Gao Shiwei, Director of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence and Big Data Division, pointed out that through technical experience in design engineering, production and manufacturing, and metrology and testing, and using the digital main line, Hexagon continues to create intelligent quality solutions for smart factories to achieve quality-driven productivity. Starting from the overall development trends of smart factory quality control such as "quality closed loop", "quality big data transformation", and "overall informatization", Director Gao broke through the problems and pain points of intelligent management, and shared all aspects of big data analysis, root cause analysis and process optimization, visualization and virtual assembly technology in total quality management, bringing the future of smart factories closer to reality.
Information construction of quality system throughout the life cycle
As a quality big data expert with 20 years of project management experience, Mr. Yu Chunhui, General Manager of Beijing Zhongtianji Technology Co., Ltd., shared solutions in the overall planning of quality management systems, quality management dashboards, R&D and design management, etc. under the theme of "Full Life Cycle Quality Informatization Solutions", providing actionable suggestions for the implementation of intelligent quality.
Implementation Strategy of Enterprise Quality Management Informationization
Since the first factory mechanization by hydraulic power and steam engines in the late 18th century, after several decades of development, what stage is our production at, and what stage is our quality management at? Is data effectively used in our production process? How can we eliminate information silos to achieve comprehensive quality management?
Mr. Wang Ruiji, Technical and Project Director of Hexagon's Q-DAS team, started with a series of questions and shared his experience on enterprise quality management informatization. He shared in detail how enterprise quality informatization construction can ensure the implementation of quality implementation solutions from several perspectives, including data collection, process quality data analysis, predictive maintenance, and continuous process evaluation.
Smart factories are not equivalent to replacing people with machines or unmanned factories, and smart manufacturing is not equivalent to Internet + artificial intelligence + manufacturing. Smart quality is even less likely to be a "Great Leap Forward"-style transformation. The path of factory automation, digitalization, and intelligence still needs to be based on itself, and strategies, plans, technologies, products, and cases must be comprehensively coordinated to seize the wave of change and consolidate the path forward.
