We are deeply saddened and concerned about the tens of thousands of people being diagnosed with the virus every day. Working together to fight the epidemic and helping each other, we will make meeting the needs of medical users for Xilinx technology one of our top priorities. At the same time, we are also very honored to work with our industry-leading medical customers and partners to do our part in fighting this global epidemic.
- Vincent Tong, Executive Vice President of Global Operations and Quality, Xilinx
To fulfill this promise, Xilinx has set up a special cross-functional task force from operations and quality management teams to sales teams and channel partners, dedicated to providing the most efficient execution and communication channels for relevant customers, while also implementing various conveniences such as waiving expedited fees for some key needs. In addition, in order to respond promptly to the urgent supply needs of global medical users, Xilinx has set up a special mailbox.
In fact, as early as January, when the epidemic in China was at its peak, Xilinx had already given the green light to urgent orders from medical customers engaged in the fight against the epidemic. Starting from late January, when it supported Mindray in providing advanced monitoring system equipment to Wuhan, China, Xilinx's global operations and quality management team has been fully involved in the fight against the new coronavirus pneumonia. As of today, Xilinx has shipped a total of 55,000 devices by giving priority to Mindray and many world-renowned medical equipment and medical technology leaders in the United States, Europe and other regions, making positive contributions in helping medical customers develop and provide key technologies for testing and treating the new coronavirus and patients.
