The answer, of course, is to eliminate all sources of problems from the source of design. In this video, engineers from Toshiba's Technical Marketing Department bring you a high-microstep stepper motor driver IC that combines "high speed, high performance, and low power consumption" - TB67S128FTG.
The TB67S128FT supports a maximum rated voltage of 50V and a rated current of 5A. Due to the low on-resistance of 0.25Ω, the heat generation is lower. And the device adopts a high-level microstep mode, that is, there are 128 microsteps per step, which helps to achieve silent and low-vibration operation of the motor.
The TB67S128FT can have such high performance mainly due to the "3A" technology adopted by Toshiba (i.e.: AGC active gain control, ADMD advanced dynamic hybrid decay, ACDS advanced current detection system ). Among them, AGC technology can not only optimize the drive current according to the required torque, but also prevent the motor from stalling and reduce power consumption; ADMD technology improves the smoothness of the current waveform, which helps to reduce the noise when the motor runs at high speed; and ACDS technology can use internal MOSFET to sense current without external sampling resistors, saving material costs.
