Automotive Month Special | TI launches white paper on dual-battery system that bridges 12V and 48V
12 V lead-acid battery systems meet their requirements. With increasingly stringent emission regulations, the growing power load requirements of advanced automotive electronics, and the transition from mechanical components to electronic functions, traditional automotive batteries have reached their current carrying capacity.
In response to this, automakers and their suppliers have developed additional 48 V electrical systems that can deliver more power at lower currents than a conventional 12 V battery alone can.
